ICT Program
Intra-Company Transfer (ICT) is a program that allows multinational companies to temporarily transfer their skilled employees from a foreign office to a Canadian office.
This program facilitates the transfer of employees who have specialized knowledge or executive or managerial experience and who are essential to the Canadian operations of the company.
To be eligible for the ICT program, a company must have a qualifying relationship with the foreign office and Canadian office, and the employee being transferred must have been employed with the foreign office for at least one year in a similar position.
The employee must also be paid the prevailing wage for their occupation and industry in Canada.
